Aarthi and the "Yaksha" child

Note: Yakshas are mystical demonic beings in Indian mythology who are known to possess people and even appear in deceptive forms.

Aarthi Srinivasan was a young woman in her late twenties who lived in a small village in Tamil Nadu, India. Despite several years of marriage with her husband, Rajesh, Aarthi was unable to bear a child and this was a matter of great tension in her family. So one fine day, when Aarthi did her pregnancy test and found it to be positive, her happiness knew no bounds! Glad with the occasion, Aarthi and Rajesh decided to visit Lord Murugan's temple in their village to take divine blessings.

After they reached the temple, the priests were already busy doing an exorcism ritual as one of the villagers seem to have been possessed by a yaksha. Upon inquiry, they found that the yaksha in question was very dangerous and had marked their village for causing devastation, he had claimed three lives in the village already. But thankfully, the head priest was competent enough to have conquered the demonic entity and locked him at the pond besides the temple entrance.

Aarthi and Rajesh entered the temple holding each other's hands rather tightly, and started doing the puja (prayer ritual). As the mantras were being recited, Aarthi felt a sudden shiver in her body, as if something bad was going to happen. About fifteen minutes may have passed since the ritual started and Aarthi suddenly felt a sharp pain deep inside her womb.

"Aaaaarhhhhhh", she cried and fell down instantly. People gathered around her as there was a brief commotion but the pain had now vanished. "Its nothing, I just slipped and fell" she replied and they continued the ritual.

After taking the blessings, Aarthi and Rajesh went home and started making plans for the unborn child. What should they name him (or her)? What do they need to buy? What about toys? Rajesh decided to take a month long leave, his employer ran a trading business at the village market. He also told Aarthi to take rest, she shouldn't be venturing anywhere or take risky endeavors until the child is born.

However, that night Aaarthi couldn't sleep peacefully for some reason. She recalled the sharp pain she had felt during the ritual at Lord Murugan's temple. What if it was the yaksha? "Silly girl" she tapped herself on the head and admonished herself. Surely, how can the yaksha enter her womb while she was inside the divine temple? It was just impossible, isn't it?

A few days passed without incident. Rajesh started growing impatient, he just couldn't wait to see his oncoming son or daughter. "What are you thinking?" asked Aarthi watching him deeply immersed in thoughts. "I'm just thinking how our child is going to look like". And as he started caressing her and rubbing his hand across her belly to feel the child's kick or something, it happened. Rajesh felt a sharp pain on his palm when he had placed it right on top of her belly.

He jolted. "What happened" she asked. "Nothing" he replied as he didn't wanted to scare her. But Aarthi sensed that something was wrong. Why would his mood turn so sour all of a sudden? In the next few days and months, Aarthi started praying to the Lord and reciting all kinds of mantras for bringing happiness and banishing the evil.

But evil has a habit of not dying but coming back again and again and again, isn't it? And that's exactly what happened in Aaarthi Srinivasan's life. Nine months passed since that incident at the temple, a son was born to Aarthi and they named him Karthik (after Lord Murugan as Karthikeya is one of his names). But the real question was, was he really Aarthi's child or was he possessed by the demonic entity called Yaksha?

The next ten years passed without a major incident. By now, Karthik had grown into a handsome young boy, he was also a bit too tall for his age. He used to accompany his dad to the village market to learn the skills of trading. Though Aarthi had insisted he go to school like many other children in the village, and learn languages and arts, Rajesh had flatly refused. He felt practical skills like trading were more important in life, and they can always send him to gurukul (traditional school run by priests) in future if needed.

Aarthi loved her husband Rajesh and her son Karthik very much, they were all a happy family but after Karthik's tenth birthday, Aarthi started facing a very strange problem. It seemed that Karthik was developing a kind of split personality. He was this little boy who laughed and worked with his father, and helped his mother during the day but during night, he started doing strange and weird things sometimes. For example, he would sleepwalk occasionally or start talking in a deeper voice and almost perfect accent like grown-ups do.

And the strange thing was that all of this suddenly started happening on Karthik's tenth birthday. As days passed, things started getting even weirder. During day, all was normal but as night came, she felt he was less like her son Karthik and more like someone else.

"I'm getting late for the market, where is my breakfast?" shouted Rajesh one morning. "Bringing it" Aarthi replied in an irritated tone. But she dashed with the toy tricycle while she was carrying water to the dining table, and it spilled all over the floor. "KARTHIK" she cried angrily, "how many times have I told you not to leave it here". "sorry mother" he replied and took the tricycle away.

Aarthi was in an extremely bad mood that day, she was glad that Karthik used to go with his father to assist at his workplace otherwise all her anger would befall upon her poor son. Another reason for Aarthi's depression was her bad dreams. She was having nightmares of yakshas and other evil beings more and more lately.

Rajesh and Karthik returned from work in the evening, they all had tea happily while chatting about the events of the day. "Father, I was able to handle that client all myself, didn't I?" Karthik said. "Yes son, one day you'll take my place and achieve greater things than I ever did, you are really good!". "OK, let's have some more tea over this happy news!" said Aarthi and went to kitchen to prepare more tea.

But as she was returning with tea, she noticed that Karthik had already used his tricycle again and left it near the kitchen entrance. "KARTHIK, you fool. How many times did I...." but stopped in between. This time, he didn't say "sorry mother". Instead, he directly looked at Aarthi with his sharp and angry eyes, as if irritated or displeased at being scolded. Aarthi felt a jolt of both fear and surprise simultaneously after looking at those eyes. And she understood. She looked outside and it was already sunset, the "other personality" of Karthik had now surfaced.

Aaarthi didn't know what to do in this weird situation, she didn't want to bother her husband because he was already in enough work stress, and she was also afraid about how he might react. It wasn't just about his looks and accent, there were harmonal changes too. "Mother, can I have some water?" asked Karthik during dinner, and as she passed him the glass, he gripped her palms rather tightly and Aarthi felt goosebumps. This touch certainly wasn't her son's.

Over the next few days, Aarthi's emotional state was quite tumultuous with all kinds of emotions running and causing storms across her mind. Firstly, she was irritated and depressed due to this sudden weird behavior of her son, secondly she was also irritated because she couldn't talk about this to anyone without attracting a lot of undue attention and blame. But there was a third reason for the emotional turmoil too: though Aarthi would never admit it, she had slowly but surely begun to feel a strange kind of attraction to this second personality of Karthik.

"How was the day today?" Aaarthi asked as the three of them sat on the dining table after work was over for the day. "All good, sales are increasing at great pace as the festival is near" said Rajesh. "Father, can we visit Madurai for a picnic?" asked Karthik. Madurai, the city of temples, is a great tourist attraction in Tamil Nadu, its also a place where families often visit during holidays.

"Maybe after the holidays" replied the father, yawning. "But I'm too tired today, let me go to bed". After Rajesh went to sleep, Aarthi and Karthik chatted for a while, she nervously glancing outside the window checking for the sunset. "OK son, goodnight. I will think about what things we can shop at Madurai" said Aarthi while heading towards her bed.

As Aarthi was laying in her bed thinking about the events of the day, Karthik came to her and asked, "Mother, can I sleep with you tonight?". Aarthi felt a shiver at that question, she didn't really know what to say. She reluctantly shifted on her bed to make some space for Karthik.

The emotional turmoil started once again as soon as her son laid beside her and they touched each other. Aaarthi started having pangs of guilts for betraying her husband who was asleep just a few feet across, just as she simultaneously started having pangs of pleasure as Karthik threw his palm across hers as he fell asleep.

It was more than 10 years now since Aarthi had had sex with her husband and it was all dull and routine family life since then. And as much as she felt strange and weird about having sex with his own son, she didn't really have any option, did she? It was quite plain now that the Karthik after sunset wasn't really Karthik and that gave rise to a frightening question, who was he then? Was it really the Yaksha possessing the body?

Even as Aarthi was evaluating this question in her mind, Karthik twisted on the bed and placed his hand directly over Aarthi's belly. Aarthi closed her eyes tightly and started wondering what to do now. "Just stop this betrayal, you are not that kind of woman" said one part of her mind. "Just go ahead and tell your husband everything".

But the other part was practically enjoying the sexual activity, the pleasure was too strong to give up now, it was almost intoxicating. Over ten years of repressed sexual energy prepared to get released from Aarthi's body as Karthik's fingers glided through her soft belly, across her beautiful navel and towards her nether regions.

She just closed her eyes tightly and started enjoying the pleasures resulting from her son's touches to various parts of her body. This pattern continued for a few days, Karthik would come to sleep with her at the end of each day and she started looking forward to it. But nothing much happened beyond touches though.

As days passed, Aarthi's sexual energy started becoming her addiction. She almost forgot that Karthik was her son and even during the day she started thinking about his presence. During the day when she was alone, she even masturbated thinking about Karthik when feelings of intense closeness with him started getting better of her.

Even Rajesh started noticing that something was wrong with her though he couldn't tell what exactly it was. "Is everything all right?" he'd ask. "All is fine" she said with irritating smile. She started getting more and more irritated because she just couldn't wait for the night.

Another reason for Aarthi's irritation was that she has had enough of these "touches" and wanted more sexual pleasures. But she didn't really know how to approach it. Traditionally, the male was the dominant in a rural family and its always upto him when and how to mate with the female in the household. That's how it had always been with Rajesh ten years ago.

But in this case, the male was much younger than she was and maybe she could have some influence over him? She secretly started praying to the Lord that he be indeed possessed by the yaksha (because that way she would be freed of the sin of mating with her own son, as it'd be the yaksha who is really controlling his body).

Aarthi also started getting more and more irritated towards Karthik during the day as she couldn't wait for the day to over and night to befall. Something started changing due to her behavior as the second person started surfacing much earlier before sunset and started staying much later than the sunrise when the next day came.

And then it happened one day. "I am going to Madurai for a few days as there is a traders meeting there" said Rajesh. "OK, but take care during the journey and please bring us some new clothes on return". Aarthi was sad as she bade goodbye to her husband but from inside she was really anticipating all the pleasures and fun she'd be having with Karthik in the absence of her husband.

That evening, some time after Rajesh left, Aarthi started preparing milk by adding asparagus and nutmeg (which are traditional aphrodisiac foods in India). As usual, they went to bed but this time Aarthi didn't simply close her eyes. She glanced out of the corner of her eye towards Karthik who also turned and glanced towards his mother.

They glanced at one another for a long time, eyes interlocked and each one relishing the beauty and grace of the other's face and smelling the natural aroma of the other's body. Then in one swift motion, Karthik gripped her waistline and pulled her towards him in a rather tight embrace.

And now with no Rajesh around, she was free to make sounds and express her feelings. "Aaaaarhhhhhh" she cried as she felt the over-sized and painful thing trying to rush into her vagina from below (which was in fact Karthik's penis). The little part of her mind which wasn't yet intoxicated with the aphrodisiac's magic started wondering how can a ten year old have such a large and strong penis. So its indeed the yaksha then!

Karthik felt like a natural and seemed to know exactly what to do in order to make a woman happy. As Karthik gently pulled her saaree and unbuttoned her blouse to prepare for what was coming, she also felt pangs of guilt for thinking that Rajesh could never give her the kind of pleasures that Karthik was about to give. Whether it was the tickling sensation she felt in her moist lips as Karthik started kissing them, or his tight bodily embrace felt by her breasts and hips, Aarthi was having the treat of her lifetime.

And this continued for days. Aarthi felt herself turning into a sex addict and maniac as she couldn't have enough of it, and even Karthik didn't seem to stop. It was probably the yaksha libido she guessed. Finally, a day came when the first personality vanished entirely and it was only the yaksha part that remained 24 hours of the day.

"I know you're a yaksha" said Aarthi one night as she was lying down in the embrace of her son's strong arms, both of them absolutely and playfully naked. "Yes I am but how do you know that?" Then Aarthi told him about the story of what happened during the ritual at the temple of Lord Murugan when he was about to be born.

"So you're not really my mother, right?" said Karthik. She smiled and embraced him even more tightly closing her eyes. Thus, both Aarthi and Karthik continued to have blissful pleasures in the presence of each other until that day arrived when Rajesh returned from the trader's meeting.

Rajesh sensed that something was wrong upon returning though he didn't know exactly what it was. Aarthi had trained Karthik to behave like a child in the presence of Rajesh and though he did it well, things weren't the same now. They both wanted to have sex with each other freely like before but couldn't do it with Rajesh present, so they started getting irritated. On the other hand, Rajesh also started getting angry and irritated at Aarthi. He couldn't understand why she was in such a happy mood when he returned, was she having an affair with one of the neighbors?

Rajesh started looking at their neighbors suspiciously whenever he met any of them. He also started swearing at Aarthi and shouting at her. "Bitch, don't you know I need at least three teaspoons salt in the rice, why haven't you put it". Other times, he looked at her suspiciously, "Tell me bitch, who it is? Whom are you having an affair with?"

But when he actually started hitting Aarthi, it was enough. Karthik couldn't see her in that agony. One day when they were arguing, Karthik sneaked into their room. "Go back and play with your toys Karthik", his father scolded. "But why are you arguing with mother?" Karthik asked. "How dare you ask such a question?" said Rajesh and proceeded to hit Karthik instead. "Please don't" said Aarthi trying to stop him by coming in between.

As tension started increasing in her family, Aarthi thought of an idea. One day when Rajesh went to work, she called Karthik and asked him, "Do you know of any yaksha dwellings around? Can you take me there?". "I don't know but I will try to find". Karthik closed his eyes and meditated for a while, then said, "there is one in the forest which is about half a day's walk from here".

"Then take me there, we are made for each other. I simply can't live without feeling pleasures you are giving me. We will live happily in the forest away from this wretched life." she said gesturing around their home. "OK mother, let's go" and they packed their things, locked the home and proceeded towards the forest.

As they ventured deep into the forest, Aarthi started having an eerie feeling but there wasn't anything to fear, she told herself. Soon, they found an old sage doing meditation along the banks of the river Krishna. "You can't live in peace until you change your yoni (being) to that of your partner" he opened his eyes and said to Aarthi suddenly. They went towards the sage with folded hands and as the sage closed his eyes briefly and slowly said a mantra, it happened! Aarthi started feeling a tingling sensation all over her body as if were merging with her soul. She had a feeling as though she was turning into a yakshini (female counterpart of a yaksha) herself!

Once she was turned into a yakshini, Aarthi felt tremendous amounts energy circulating inside her body, both sexual and physical. They thanked the sage and proceeded further into the forest to build their new home. And thus, Aarthi the yakshini started living in that forest with her mate Karthik the yaksha with the kind of joy and happiness which neither of them had ever felt in their lives. They used to gather food during the day by hunting or farming and during night, they used to explore their sexual fantasies.

Since Aarthi was a yakshini herself now, she automatically received the gifts of mind-reading, clairvoyance and extraordinarily long life apart from several others. And thus, they both continued to lead happy and blissful lives with nothing but only love and passion towards each other for centuries to come.
